On the weekends, you will find me with my wife at one of our three kids’ sporting events, or enjoying the outdoors at our family cabin in the New York Southern Tier.
Michael Dettman
I’m an Account Executive for the New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine areas. Having worked at Shamir Insight over the past three years, with nearly three decades of experience in this field, I love helping my account partners learn about some of the best products in the optical industry and maximize their profitability. I am ABOC-certified, and received my New York State license in ophthalmic dispensing in 1999. Shamir honored me with the Rookie of the Year award in 2020, and the President’s Club award in 2021. My optical career also led to me meeting my beautiful wife Jamie, also a NYS Optician, with whom I will be celebrating 21 years of marriage later this summer.
